People think that the history of Robotoparto would be quite short – how long can you have been making robot parts for? Well the answer is YEARS.
The first humanoid robot was brought into existence in 1928. Its name was Eric and it could both speak and move its arms. Since that very moment in history there has been a need for Robotoparto. That robot needed arms, and we obliged! Only 70 years after Eric had spoken his first word, Robotoparto sprang into life.
Since 1998 we have made legs, arms, heads and whatever a robot needs to keep walking, waving and talking. We pride ourselves on our excellent robot parts. We deliver robots to A.I. companies around the world. They then take our parts, piece them together and program the A.I.
We’ve had many logos over the years and our decisions to change them have ranged from the aesthetic to the legal. If it interests you, then you can find out all about our logo’s journey below. While we love our current logo and intend to keep it for years to come, who knows what our logo will look like in 100 years time!
When we started Robotoparto we were just four friends in the back of a shed, banging out parts like no tomorrow. We thought, we need a logo to make ourselves look official and so that we could compete with the big robot manufacturers of the world. This is what we came up with.
In 2001 we decided to make some changes to the design of our logo – we wanted something that encapsulated our brand in a better way.
We realised that the robot on our logo didn’t best match the sort of complex parts that we were making, so in 2006 we decided to change the logo entirely again. We felt the robot arm in this logo was representative of who we were as a company.
In January 2015 we decided to move on from our previous logo. We were also being constantly told that “The Future’s Bright” and although we agreed, being associated with a defunct brand was not something we desired.
As you can see, we changed the colour of the logo to a lovely blue, as we felt the orange was quite threatening. We also went with a more quirky font.
In February 2018 we decided to change our logo once more. We wanted to get back to the roots of the business, so we went back to our original font, but kept our updated robot.
While we were very pleased with the 2018 logo, we decided to update the logo again in 2020, making very small changes and re-introducing the orange, as we decided being threatening wasn’t so bad after all.
